KEF Reserve is the newest gem in the KEF collection by Karas. This characterful red wine boldly combines 60% Haghtanak, an intense and structured Armenian grape, with 40% Malbec, an internationally renowned variety known for its rich aromas and depth. The result is a generous, balanced, and expressive wine.
Born in the heart of the Ararat Valley, Armavir region, KEF Reserve draws its strength from volcanic soils composed of basalt-based clay, volcanic tuff, and alluvial stones. Thanks to a continental semi-arid climate, the grapes ripen slowly, developing concentrated flavors, tannins, and freshness.
The wine undergoes a 20-day fermentation at 26–28°C, then matures for 10 months in Armenian oak barrels, adding finesse and subtle oak notes.
