Zulal, which means "pure" in Armenian, is a pioneering venture in Armenian viticulture, dedicated to exploring new horizons in winemaking. They focus on the noble Areni and Voskehat grapes, carefully selected from the volcanic, high-altitude soils of Vayots Dzor, specifically from the Aghavnadzor micro-zone, renowned for the elegance of its wines. Their mission is to discover and revive rare or nearly forgotten indigenous grape varieties. At Zulal, they take pride in having successfully revitalized seven unique varieties, each with its own captivating story.
The Zulal Voskehat Reserve appears in the glass with a bright, pale yellow color, enhanced by a striking golden hue. When aerated by swirling, this mature white wine reveals an exceptional balance. It offers aromas of pear, complemented by notes of honey and white flowers. It is pleasantly dry, with a smooth and rounded texture. On the finish, the wine impresses with its beautiful length and lingering pear notes.
For the Zulal Voskehat Reserve, the focus is clearly on the Voskehat grape. Only the highest quality grapes are harvested for this exceptionally well-balanced single-varietal wine. This Armenian white wine pairs wonderfully with a variety of dishes, but it is also delightful to enjoy on its own.
