Armavir region is one of the winemaking regions of Armenia. The climate is extremely dry as a result of which the temperature can rise up to 40-42 degrees Celsius. The quantity of atmospheric precipitations does not exceed 300 meters. The soil is desert-like and volcanic (tuff, basalt).
