A bold and elegant red wine, Areni Reserve 2020 offers concentrated red fruit flavors balanced by subtle spices, refreshing acidity, and silky tannins.

Made from the iconic Areni grape, a symbol of Armenia’s terroir, this wine comes from ungrafted vines aged 50 to 100 years. Located in the picturesque village of Aghasafi in the Vayots Dzor region, at 1200 meters altitude, the vineyards thrive in unique soils composed of volcanic rock and alluvial deposits, giving the wine its depth and distinct minerality.

Aging and Vinification of Zulal Reserve

The careful vinification process takes place in stainless steel tanks, followed by 12 months of aging in neutral French and Caucasian oak barrels. This precise aging allows the wine to maintain the purity of its aromas while adding a velvety texture and refined complexity.

On the palate, Areni Reserve delights with vibrant freshness, aromas of black cherries and ripe raspberries, complemented by hints of black pepper and aromatic herbs.
